Elisabeth (Jane) House has been painting professionally for some years,
specializing in animal portraiture - horses, family pets, farm animals and wildlife.

Most of her work is commision and she has built up a wide clientele in
the Home Counties and the South-East.

Commissions are also undertaken for local views, houses and other buildings,
using a wide range of media - oils, watercolours, pen & ink, pastels and pencil.

Animal portraits begin with a home visit to meet the subject and to take
a series of photographs. At the second visit the photographs are discussed
and the final pos agreed. When the portrait is nearing completion at least one
further visit is made to check that the likeness, expression and colouring are correct.
The complete painting is usually delivered to the client within two to three months.
